Hayley Orrantia is an American singer-songwriter and actress. People are familiar with her because of her character in the role of Erica Goldberg on the popular TV show 'The Goldbergs.' The main focus of her is an actor. She says that music was always her first passion. By the time she turned 12, music became important enough to start training professionally. At 13, she began creating songs. The first time she recorded an album at 14 years old. From that point on, there's been never a moment to rest. Orrantia has Hispanic heritage, yet was born in USA. Although she was raised speaking exclusively English and never lived in Mexico she's very satisfied with her Hispanic culture. By learning Spanish and writing songs she is trying to preserve the tradition. 'Hasta Verte' a song she recorded in Spanish is one such attempt. Orrantia appeared in The X Factor season 1's auditions throughout the summer of 2011. Orrantia took home the very first season of The X Factor when she uploaded a YouTube audition video. The judge gave her four "yes" vote from the judge during the live stage audition in Seattle. She initially auditioned to be a part of "Hollywood Week" as a single artist. However, three other female vocalists as well as her were brought together for auditions of other songs. They were eventually eliminated at the final show.
