Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise was an American actress, performer, and writer who is best recognized for her role as Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. In the 1950s, she started her acting career on stage for Bettle Davis' musical Two's Company. After that, she acted on Broadway in various shows until the year 1957, when Li'l Abner became huge at the National Theater. In the year 1957, she made her debut album entitled It's Time for Tina. Louise began her Hollywood career in the year 1958 when she played Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre, a drama film. It was a huge success and Louise earned her the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. While in New York, Louise enrolled in Actors Studio and began her relationships with Lee Strasberg. Her next unforgettable role was in 1964. She signed with CBS for the role of Ginger Grant. Louise Balfour was able to play between Broadway and Hollywood portraying somber character as opposed her perceived image as a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 as well as Helen Magnus, but in the last few years she's made a name as a producer on a variety of famous TV shows, including Supernatural. Her family moved from Essex to Toronto, where she spent growing up and in adolescence. Her home was in Vancouver following her selection to play Samantha Carter.
