Ina Garten, an American writer of cookery cookbooks as well as Emmy Award-winning host of Food Network's longest-running program Barefoot Contessa which began broadcasting in 2002 has 27 seasons until 2020. Ina began her career working in the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget and policy reports. She initially found her career to be intellectually stimulating, however she soon lost interest, and purchased a tiny grocery store that was known as Barefoot Contessa. It took her 18 years to make her shop wildly successful, before she closed the store. Then she began writing the first of many cookbooks. Numerous other books as well as magazine articles followed.
