Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is an Mexican American singer-songwriter and popular actress. Raised by her mother throughout the USA she was subject to a lot of racial taunts which gave her feeling of being unwanted. Her confidence began to grow at the age of nineteen when she entered a school audition and was highly praised for her singing. It not only boosted the confidence of her, but also changed the direction of her professional career. In the year 22 she received her degree from the Julliard School of New York. As she was turning 23 years old, she launched her career in Broadway in the Paul Simon musical The Capeman. Then, aged 23, her movie debut was You've received mail. Her most memorable break came from her performance as The Lady of The Lake in the first Broadway production of Spamalot. She was awarded the Tony Award and received great praise for the role. The following year, she was cast in the ABC series Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider acceptance for the role. She is known as a performer and has also released a single as well as an extended show. In addition, she's an activist and works extensively in the field of LGBT rights.
